The J3 Story
J3 was started by Josh Leidhecker.  Josh had the habit of putting his helmet on top of the car when he was finished boating for the day.  After losing a few helmets in this manner, Josh decided to take matters into his own hands.  Josh decided to fashion his own helmet out of fiberglass.  After successfully creating a design that he liked, Josh found the helmet to 
be a perfect alternative to the expensive helmets he had been buying.  After wearing his helmet out on the river, it caught the attention of some of his friends and one by one he created helmets for them.  That's when he decided to try to make a go at it and traveled to small kayak event on the east coast.  With great success at the show, J3 was born!
